On January 5, 2009, Chris Blakeslee, Fabrication Manager, stated “this is an exciting time for our division; we have been able to add manpower with over 25 years of plastic fabrication know-how to our already expert workforce. This addition will enable us to provide products such as plastic tanks, exhaust systems and material handling fixtures in a variety of plastic applications. Established in 1955, Carlson Erie has been a leading fabricator of metal tanks and fixtures for the metal finishing industry, as well as offering very technical post-processing machining services. Carlson Erie Corporation is a division of American Tinning & Galvanizing Company (ATG) which specializes in the corrosion control of metal, steel and aluminum by providing “finishing” services. The family owned business has 72 fulltime employees and is NADCAP accredited in cadmium plating per QQ-P-416, zinc electroplating per ASTM-B633, sulfuric acid anodizing per MIL-A-8625 type II, and Type I chromic acid anodizing.
